“I think it is important to be honest about these things.”
The Euphoria star is receiving many awards for his upcoming Netflix movie Malcolm and Marie – and while promoting the film Conversational HFPA podcast, Zendaya talked about his relationship with social networks, as well as having full control over his Instagram account.

Malcolm and Marie also stars John David Washington and was directed by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson and Netflix describe the film’s premise as: “When filmmaker Malcolm (Washington) and his girlfriend Marie (Zendaya) return home from a film premiere and await their film’s critical response, the night changes when revelations about their relationships begin to surface, testing the couple’s love. “
“I am very, very demanding about my Instagram, so no one has access to it except me,” she explained. “I think it is important to be honest about these things.”

Zendaya also talked about what he learned when I was most active on social media: “I was much more active when I was younger, but over time I think I just – it’s not that I hate it or anything – but I sometimes found that being in it myself made me a little anxious or I started to think a little too much or stay on the phone too much. “
“My relationship with all of this is mine and it’s personal to me, but it’s also something I like to keep a little bit of space with, too.”

Zendaya went on to explain that she doesn’t care about fans’ reaction to her use of social media “because they understand that I am a human being and I think they want me to have a life and they want me to be happy and exist beyond the media social. “
And she also left a message for her fans on social media: “I’m always there. They know I’m there. They know it’s me, but it’s important for me to have my own time and not be so sucked up by a phone.”
