Jonotthan Harrison is completing the New York Trifecta.
Harrison signed a one-year contract on Sunday with the Giants to provide offensive line depth, the Post confirmed. While most futures contracts are direct to the minimum of the league, Harrison’s business is worth at least $ 990,000 with a face value of $ 1.2 million and a maximum of $ 2 million with incentives, according to a source.
Harrison, 29, spent the 2017-19 seasons with the Jets and was on the line to be the pivot before Ryan Kalil left retirement. He spent most of last season on the Bills training roster – never appearing in a game – and was therefore eligible to sign before veteran free agents on 53-player rosters were available in March.
The Giants are committed to pivot Nick Gates, who played every moment last season, as a starter after his first season in the position. Spencer Pulley dressed for all 16 games, but did not see the field as a reserve for Gates.
Pulley is under contract in 2021 with a $ 2.7 million cap and no money left if released, so Harrison is a cheaper alternative.
Harrison participated in 84 career games, with 42 matches, including a record of 10 matches twice – as an unprepared newcomer to the 2014 Colts and 2019 Jets when Kalil was injured. It can also be an option as a guard.
The NFL Network first reported the addition of Harrison.
