Kate Middleton and Prince William have spent the pandemic with their children on their Norfolk property, Anmer Hall. In the past, Kate talked about the challenges of being a mother to three young children in the midst of a global crisis. This week, during a video call with other parents, she revealed yet another pandemic challenge for parents.

All three other parents on the call have children who attend school at Roe Green Junior School in Brent, England. Together with Kate, they took part in some exercises to describe what it’s like to be a father now. Each parent had to describe this moment in one word. Kate chose “exhaustive”.

“I know how challenging it is to reconcile work, home life, school life and everything else that you, as parents, are doing, very well done,” she said, referring to the fact that the UK is now in its third national blockade since the pandemic began. “Fingers crossed, let’s hope for positivity as you all have been saying. Make sure everyone takes care of themselves – it is very difficult to prioritize, but it is definitely needed now more than ever.

During an interview for During an interview for the “5 big questions about children under five” last November, Kate also talked about another very common struggle between parents of babies: tantrums.
