Cadillac unveils 2022 CT4-V, CT5-V Blackwing during the Rolex 24 in Daytona

It’s no secret that Cadillac would be causing the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing during the Rolex 24 At Daytona. What we didn’t know was the length of its final teaser before the big reveal of both cars in early February.

It turns out that the American automaker wanted to unwrap the CT4-V and CT5-V in the endurance race, surprising racing fans with a first unobstructed look of the Blackwing race models.

From the start, the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing do not deviate much from current V-Series range-toppers, although you can immediately see the changed front bumpers, especially the shapes of the corner entries. The forged magnesium alloy wheels, of course, have a different style, in addition to looking slightly larger than the rims of non-Blackwing models.

Along with the drop of wraps, Cadillac also released a final 60-second teaser video for both performance sedans, which you can watch at the top of this page.

So, what do we know so far? Caddy is betting on the “world’s fastest reaction suspension” premise on both sports sedans. The availability of a 6-speed manual transvestite is already a fact at this point, along with the carbon fiber seats that are said to be heated and ventilated for the CT5-V.

Cadillac has confirmed that the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing will have limited availability. Previous reports said that pre-orders are limited to 250 each model, with a $ 1,000 deposit required to secure the booking. These first buyers will receive a number of exclusive gifts, which include a certificate of authenticity, Cadillac V-Performance Academy membership and an unspecified gift.

The suspense will not last long, as the two Blackwing models are scheduled to be unveiled on February 1, 2021 at 19:00 EDT (12:00 GMT) through Cadillac’s live broadcast channels.
