On Saturday night, Tennessee Volunteers number 18 received Kansas Jayhawks number 15. The game resulted in an explosion of Volunteers end-to-end, winning the game over the Jayhawks by an 80-61 score. Kansas never led the game for a single second. The game was part of the SEC / Big 12 Challenge.
In the win, Tennessee had four double-digit players. Yves Pons led the team with 17 points and also managed five rebounds. Freshman Jaden Springer, in his second game after losing three, added 13 points with four rebounds and three assists.
As for Kansas, the Jayhawks have already lost four of their last five games. David McCormack led the team with 17 points in defeat. Kansas hit just 37.7% of the field, while Tennessee shot 52.8%.
