Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was thrilled on Saturday over a phone call from former President Trump – prompting a sarcastic exchange of ideas with fellow Republican Mitt Romney.
“I had a GREAT connection with my favorite POTUS of all time, President Trump!” the lightning rod Georgia freshman tweeted.
“I am so grateful for his support … he is 100% loyal to the people and America First,” she added.
Greene boosted the far-right QAnon conspiracy theory and was hit with a temporary 12-hour Twitter ban this month for questioning the results of the Jan. 5 election in Georgia.
She was subjected to greater scrutiny this week for allegedly liking and commenting favorably on previous posts on social media that advocated violence against Democrats.
A colleague, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), Asked Congress to expel her – and some Republicans seem to have lost patience with their rhetoric.
“Equal lies come together: Marjorie Taylor Greene’s nonsense and the“ big lie ”of a stolen election”, Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah tweeted in response for Greene’s post about his connection with the former president.
Green logo replied.
“Please grow a pair or a spine,” she said in a post addressed to the Republican Party presidential flagship in 2012.
