We hear a lot about Bayonetta 3 over the past month or so. Just a few weeks ago, one of the main developers of the title at PlatinumGames expressed that he would like to update fans on the status of the project at some point in 2021. Shortly after making this statement, however, it appears that the studio member in question now has a different suggestion in mind for fans.
Speaking to VGC in a new interview, PlatinumGames founder Hideki Kamiya said that things can be easier if you’re looking forward to Bayonetta 3 I could just forget about everything for now. “I understand it is driving fans crazy!” Kamiya said about the lack of news about the game. “Given that, my suggestion would be that maybe we should all restart and forget Bayonetta 3. So, when something finally happens, it will be a good surprise, right? “
While encouraging fans to remove soon Bayonetta 3 from his thoughts, Kamiya had quite positive news to share about the project as well. Although he has not fully committed himself, Kamiya said there is a good chance that 2021 will finally be the year when we will hear more about the long-awaited sequel. “It is not really our position to say, but … it is January. We need something to come out, right? “Kamiya asked.” I think it’s safe to wait for something to come out. It’s still a long way from the year, that’s what I’m saying. “
Even though it might not be so attractive for fans to “forget” a game they are looking forward to, Kamiya is probably right in this case. The sooner many fans who are enthusiastic about the game stop thinking about its arrival, the more exciting it will be when a new trailer or information will inevitably happen.
For now, everything we know for sure about Bayonetta 3 is that it is expected to be released in an indefinite time, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. If we finally hear more about the game later this year, we will obviously keep you posted here on ComicBook.com.
