First, find out if you are eligible at myturn.ca.gov or check your county’s public health website. You can also refer to the state table that describes eligibility.
In general, there is a difference between locations run by city or county public health officials and vaccine clinics in nursing homes, hospitals, medical centers and pharmacies. If you live or work in an establishment that provides vaccines, it may be easier to apply the vaccine that way. Contact your employer if you are eligible for a vaccine due to your occupation.
But some people may find that the only way to get an injection is by browsing a public health department appointment system. See below for details by county (so far, we’ve covered LA, Orange and Riverside counties, with more to come).
