While Samsung didn’t take long to send a bunch of promotional videos for its new Galaxy S21 line to the company’s official YouTube channel, after revealing the three iPhone 12 challengers a few weeks ago, the first appropriate TV ad is here now.

Today, of course, is a great day for 5G-enabled S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra, which are finally available for immediate delivery. Interestingly, the new 60-second “official movie” with the goal of drawing even more attention to Samsung’s Snapdragon 888 focuses exclusively on highlighting the design and strengths of the 6.2 and 6.7 inch models, suggesting that a similar commercial dedicated to The 6.8-inch Ultra variant may drop at a later date.
Unlike the revelation, introduction, official unpacking and first practical videos released earlier this month to create an initial buzz around the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus, today’s short “film” looks very professionally made, which is basically an elegant way of saying it probably cost Samsung a lot of money.
At first glance, this was definitely money well spent, however, doing more than decent work of emphasizing a number of key selling points, as well as its usefulness in the real world. Unsurprisingly, most of the ad’s run time is used to stimulate the “different” camera system at the back of the S21 and S21 + 5G, which looks undeniably cool while also hiding lots of cool tricks up its sleeve.
Samsung wants you to be excited about these bad boys’ ability to take photos within photos, photos within videos, as well as good old videos … in 8K “beyond cinema quality”. For those who are making scores at home, the word “photo” is mentioned a total of eight times in the first half or more of the 1-minute commercial, which must be some kind of record.

Believe it or not, this still leaves enough time for Samsung to spread that extremely fast 5G connectivity (in the desert?!), As well as the ample storage space of the two next-generation devices (no microSD card slot ???) the battery that is enough to last “the whole trip and the way back” (probably not in the 4,000 mAh vanilla S21).
