Hitman 3 was released just a few weeks ago, but it appears that interactive IO has not yet ended with its World of Assassination trilogy. According to executive producer Forest Swartout Large, in an interview with The Gamer, Hitman 3 you will probably receive new missions in the future.
Large says the IO team is always looking to the future, and in this case, that means more missions to Hitman 3. But at the moment, it doesn’t look like it means more locations. Instead, it appears that Large and the team are focusing more on Elusive Targets or Escalation missions, and perhaps even some twists on the classic levels of the recent game trilogy.
“We are definitely going to do some DLC, but we haven’t defined what it is,” said Large. “I think that, for now, we are not looking at new maps, like the bank and the island.”
When mentioning the bank and the island, Large brings two of Hitman 2better levels, and although it looks like we’re not going to get new locations in Hitman 3, we could get new versions of old maps and missions.
“We are more looking to use existing locations and reimagine them, twisting them. And this time, we can use the whole trilogy, ”said Large. “We can look back Hitman Maps of 2016, Hitman 2 maps – we have all the locations. ”
Of course, new content for Hitman 3 it is not the only thing that IO Interactive is currently working on. Last year, the studio announced that it is also working on a James Bond game, which appears to be a perfect fit for the studio, although we don’t have details on that game yet.
