Nurlita Novi Arlaida, head of Public Affairs at Indofood, confirmed Nuraini’s death in a statement to the local newspaper, Kompas.
The cause of death has not been revealed.
After news of his death, many fans turned to social media to honor the recipe developer who worked at the company for almost 30 years, where he produced the hugely popular ‘mi goreng’ and other flavors for the brand.

In Nigeria, Indomie is the favorite pasta of many in the country, despite the prevalence of numerous brands on the market.
Instant noodles were first exported to Nigeria in 1988 and, in 1995, opened their first production plant. With three factories currently in the West African country, the company says it produces eight million packs of pasta a day to meet high demand.
