The Resident Evil Village leaks are finding their way online, so watch out for spoilers

Resident Evil Village will be officially launched in May, but it seems that many leaks are starting to appear on the internet earlier. So be warned from now on, as there are now plenty of spoilers on the network. As reported by Eurogamer, Capcom is removing online videos with leaks from Resident Evil Village. These are not just clips from the demo of The Maiden Resident Evil Village, but totally new scenes showing encounters with the popular Lady Alcina Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village.

These leaks, which we are not going to detail here, are allegedly from a developer version of Resident Evil Village, probably related to Capcom’s massive data hack.

Last November, Capcom was the victim of a massive ransomware attack by a group called Ragnar Locker hacker group. The hackers claimed to have stolen a treasure trove of information, including internal files and documents, and demanded a ransom of $ 11 million in bitcoins.

The company’s release schedule and potentially 390,000 items of personal information were reportedly compromised. Despite this, Capcom said there was “limited impact” of the attack and that an investigation into the damage is underway.

That said, fans looking to stay free of Resident Evil Village spoilers should be more cautious going forward. Leakages for major video games have apparently increased in recent years, as parts of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Last of Us Part 2 leaked before official release dates.
