Miley Cyrus is singing her latest songs and covers others.
The 28-year-old “Golden G String” singer attended NPR’s Tiny Desk show on Thursday, when she started the show with a cover of Mazzy Star’s “Fade into You” before diving into two tracks – ” Golden G String “and” Prisoner “- from their 2020 album,” Plastic Hearts “.
The performance began with the singer swinging a pair of sunglasses, a cowboy hat and a fake fur coat in a tiny room microcosm.
After completing his presentation of the Mazzy Star hit, Cyrus slowly takes off his fur coat, hat and glasses.

“They told me that I should cover, but I went the other way,” Cyrus sings appropriately in “Golden G String” as she clings to herself.
The line goes back to a December post on social media, in which Cyrus revealed a photo session of Rolling Stone with the same quote from the song in the caption.

The daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, 59, and Letícia “Tish” Cyrus, 53, has long been a champion of body positivity and a woman’s right to show everything. During her interview with Rolling Stone, she said in the past two years or so, “great progress” continues to be made to allow women to feel free in their own bodies.

“I don’t even know if you can really embarrass yourself now. Is that really something?” Cyrus asked in the cover story. “The media haven’t really shamed me in a long time.”
