“The View” co-host Meghan McCain took aim at President Biden on Thursday, due to the series of executive orders he has signed since taking office.
Biden has already broken records in terms of the number of executive orders he has enacted since his inauguration last week, dealing with a range of issues such as the coronavirus pandemic, immigration and climate change.
“I worry about this swinging pendulum back and forth, where we are only using executive orders to legislate,” said McCain before pointing to a recent New York Times editorial urging Biden to “cut down” on the Oval Office pen.
“If you’re Joe Biden and you’re missing The New York Times on it and made 19 executive orders, unlike President Trump who made five in his first week, President Obama who made five in his first week, Presidents Bush and Clinton who made zero, it may be time to start working with the other side.
