The new Rocket League limited-time Super Bowl game mode is Gridiron

The Super Bowl is approaching, and Rocket League developer Psyonix decided to bring his own version of the big game to competitive car football. On February 2, Rocket League players can experience a new game mode called Gridiron. The event runs through February 8 and includes event challenges and an in-store NFL fan pack.

Gridiron turns the football field into a football field. It’s a four-on-four match with a real football on the field, instead of an old, boring football. Touching the soccer ball fixes it to the roof of your car, making the car the ball carrier. Anyone who touches the ball becomes the ball carrier, which means that players can make a legal pass for a team, or a bad boy can steal the ball from his car.

You can also dodge the ball, but the double jump will drop the bar from the top of the car. It seems like a good time for all sports fans. Rocket League replayed for free in the summer of 2020 and is available on consoles and the Epic Games Store. The complete set of rules, along with details about the event, is available on the Psyonix website.
