NEW YORK – Give us a brrrrrr-eak, 2021.
A dangerous weather alert issued on Thursday alerts New York City to a very cold weather, and then a lot of snow in the coming days.
Northwest wind gusts, along with a mass of cold Arctic air on Thursday night, will dip the thermal sensation values to 0-5 below, warns the National Meteorological Service.
Temperatures will remain in their 20s on Friday and Saturday, before reaching a high of 33 on Sunday. But do not rejoice yet, warns the forecast of the National Meteorological Service.
“There is the potential for a coastal storm to bring 15 centimeters or more of snow into the night area from Sunday to Tuesday,” says the dangerous weather warning. “In addition, strong winds from the northeast, coastal floods and beach erosion will be possible. At the moment, there is still great uncertainty with the low trail and the time to specify details.”
