The shortage of PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will likely continue until the second half of 2021

The shortage of PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S may continue until the second half of the year, says AMD.

As reported by VGC for the first time, chip maker AMD, which supplies CPU and GPU chips for PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, expects the shortage of all systems to continue for quite some time. Asked to comment on supply restrictions for all three consoles during a earnings call earlier this week, AMD CEO Lisa Su said she expects “some tightening” during the first six months of 2021, before things recover in the second half of the year.
