Arlo Parks – “Hope”

London singer and songwriter Arlo Parks has already won over some prominent fans, such as Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, Florence Welch and Clairo, who participated in their recent single “Green Eyes”. And she will probably earn a lot more with the release of her debut album Reduced in sun rays on Friday. We have posted “some initial tracks” already ”, and today Parks is sharing one last single before the big day:“ Hope ”.

“Music involves isolation, being present in your pain and knowing that you are not the only one on the planet feeling depressed,” explains Parks in a statement. “I think, especially in times like these, it’s important to focus on the inevitability that things are going to get better.” The track comes with a video by filmmaker Molly Burdett. “This video for me is a warm and vibrant exploration of friendship and introversion,” says Parks. “I think there is something very powerful about saturated cinematic textures, human portraits and representations of euphoria.”
