Women’s basketball: Which Gamecock do Bulldogs fear most?

One of the many weapons in a South Carolina squad, sophomore guard Zia Cooke is playing beyond her age and getting better and better.

Cooke averages 15.5 points per game. She posted a 26th record of the season against Florida. Cooke can enter a scoring roll at any time and will have to be considered an unanticipated factor for Bulldogs to recover from the turnaround.

Probably defended by the guard Myah Taylor, Cooke will make it a priority to dictate the pace and launch from anywhere on the ground. Expect Cooke to do what he wants and force the Mississippi state coach, Nikki McCray-Penson and Taylor to make adjustments.

Given Taylor’s experience and defensive dexterity, expect a battle between her and Cooke all the time. This rivalry has been more than amusing and there is every reason to believe that this time it will not disappoint.

Hail State!
