The 2021 schedule for South Carolina football is complete. On Wednesday, the Southeast Conference released the dates of the eight opponents in the league that the Gamecocks will face.

November 13 – in Missouri
November 20 – vs. Auburn
November 27 – vs. Clemson

The four non-conference meetings with were already known coming into the day. This will be the first encounter with Eastern Illinois, the 20th with East Carolina (Carolina has a 14-5 record), the fourth with Troy (Carolina has a 3-0 record) and the 177th with Clemson. Gamecocks and Tigers were unable to meet in 2019, interrupting a sequence of 11 years of annual meetings on the football field.
Under coach Shane Beamer in the first year, Gamecocks will be looking for their first winning season since 2018 (7-6, 4-4 at the SEC). Carolina was maintained at 4-8 (3-5) in 2019 and 2-8 against the ten league games in 2020. Gamecocks have not had a winning season in the league since 2017, when they were 5-3 and 9-4 in the general.
