Ring

On January 27, Ring launched the new $ 60 Video Doorbell Wired – the smallest and most affordable doorbell ever launched by the company. The bell is now available for order and will be sent until February 24th.

Video Doorbell Wired includes many features that have now become standard for similar devices: bidirectional audio, live streaming, advanced motion detection, movement and privacy zones, night vision and more. In addition, customers can also opt for a subscription service, which starts at $ 3 a month and includes a more robust notification system and multiple levels of video storage.

As with all Ring products, Video Doorbell Wired will also work with other smart home devices, such as Alexa-based Echo speakers and monitors, lights and alarms.

The Ring’s newest device is mainly notable for its size and price range: so far, even though the Ring has followed the price of standard security cameras high quality video down bells, such as Arlo’s excellent $ 150 device and Ring’s own price reduction video bell, did not exceed the $ 100 mark. Another affordable alternative, the Wyze Video Doorbell $ 30, released last month, but performed poorly when we tested it. If Ring Video Doorbell Wired works well, it could represent a significant addition to the market – a smart value option for customers on a budget or just looking to try out a video bell for the first time.

Ring Video Doorbell Wired is available for pre-order on the websites of Ring and parent company Amazon, and will be available for $ 60 online and at Home Depot stores starting February 24. It will arrive at other retailers starting March 26.
