Shaun Weiss – famous for playing Goldberg in “The Mighty Ducks” – is almost unrecognizable again, but in a great way … and that’s because he has now been sober for a year.
His friend, Drew Gallaghersays TMZ … Shaun officially reached the milestone yesterday. He says that Shaun chose to delay his Christmas as part of the celebration … hoping to open the presents on the day he celebrated his sobriety.

Shaun, who is still in a sober house in Tarzana, CA, is preparing for his next steps in life. They said he is working on his comedy and writing some scripts.
