Release date and initial review of the Shadow And Bone TV series

So, you can imagine my excitement about the long-awaited book adaptation for Netflix TV Shadow and Bone, which is based on Leigh Bardugo’s bestselling novels, Grishaverse.

Well, today, Netflix announced that episode eight Shadow and Bone the series will officially begin broadcasting on April 23, and I am very excited.

As I mentioned above, Shadow and Bone it is based on the novels of Leigh Bardugo and follows Alina Starkov, a soldier and orphan who is just trying to survive in a “war-torn world”.

Soon, Alina unleashes “an extraordinary power” that may be exactly what will free her country. With the Shadowfold threat approaching, Alina is now put into training as part of an elite army of magical soldiers known as “Grisha”.

Alina “will strive to improve her power”, as she will soon discover that “allies and enemies can be the same and that nothing in this luxurious world is what it seems.”

Guys, I’m literally jumping with excitement to see these characters finally come to life on the screen.

Here’s a first look at Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev and Jessie Mei Li as Alina.

The series stars Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov and Ben Barnes as General Kirigan, and I’m ready to see them in action.

In addition, Archie Renaux will play Malyen Oretsev, Freddy Carter will play Kaz Brekker, Amita Suman will play Inej and Kit Young will play Jesper Fahey.

This cast is already lovingly close, so get ready for me to scream about how I want to be best friends with them all.

Speaking of bringing Shadow and Bone for life, showrunner and executive producer Eric Heisserer said: “We work tirelessly to create a sensation lived in fictional lands like Ketterdam and Ravka, with invented languages, uniforms, currency and artistic choices from set design to costume.”

Basically, I’ll be counting the days until I can sit on the couch and watch this adaptation for TV. And, I can already say that it is the show that I will be shouting this spring.
