Adam Carolla overturns Governor Newsom, says lifting the COVID restrictions is “too little, too late”

Adam Carolla not yet a fan of Gov. Gavin Newsom … if anything, the comedian is angrier because he suspects that there is a political reason behind Newsom suspending COVID restrictions in Cali.

The comedian joined “TMZ Live” on Tuesday and said that the fact that Newsom just lifted restrictions to allow open restaurants and other businesses to reopen makes the order look like the initial restrictions were random and arbitrary. To Adam’s point, SoCal’s ICU capacity is still close to 0% – however, state modeling predicts that it will increase to 33.3% in the next 4 weeks.

That said … Adam feels that Newsom only gave in to lift the restrictions because he is feeling the heat of a recall campaign that has gained momentum.

How do you know … Adam’s had meat with the governor of California for some time. Adam expressed his support last month for calling Newsom … because he was upset about the closing of outdoor dinners. In his eyes … he saw no evidence to connect outdoor dinners to massive outbreaks of COVID cases.

If Newsom faces a recall, Adam is set on a replacement – how about a banjo box? Seriously, he explained that choice.
