The Games Workshop had another great streaming presentation on Saturday, announcing a series of new miniatures and two new games for 2021. The highlight of the presentation was a new model depicting a mechanized Sister of the Battle, further consolidating Adept Sororitas as a force of first-rate combat in the 41st millennium.
The new model is called the Paragon Warsuit and is twice the height of a standard Battle Sister at the table. It comes with a melee weapon and the option to mount one of three ranged weapons, including a flamer or a Melta weapon. It is not yet clear how these new units will fight on the table, or even what the size or cost of a formation will be, but they are easily one of the most ambitious and impressive models launched for Warhammer 40,000 in recent years.
The announcement was accompanied by some good stained glass animations as well.
The UK-based company is also expanding the popular Kill Team line with a new box. Entitled Kill Team: Pariah Nexus, aligns with the latest Warhammer 40,000 Indomitus box set launched last year. It will feature Space Marines and Necrons fighting on what appears to be a two-dimensional plate made to look like the interior of a Necron starship. It is very different from the large multi-level buildings that came packed with the original Kill Team box in 2018.

Noteworthy for slow painters, like me, the rules are coming soon to play Kill Team with the models that were grouped in Indomitus set. This means that you can put this team of assault Intercessors to use, even if you haven’t finished painting all of the Veterans and Bladeguard Knights yet.
In addition to several new books, there are also a couple of new luxury models for non-40K systems. They include a huge new Warmaster Titan for Adeptus Titanicus, the largest ever added to the game. Warhammer: Age of Sigmar he is also receiving an agile and energetic Sevireth, Lord of the Seventh Wind. But the real surprise is that Games Workshop will also release a new game from the Warhammer Quest series.

Warhammer Quest has its roots in the 1990s, where it was created from the classic HeroQuest line and a partnership with Milton Bradley. More recently it emerged as Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress, a hybrid of traditional board game and tactical war game. This $ 150 cash set was followed by several expansions, so expect the same treatment for this new property, which is titled Warhammer Quest: Cursed City.
There will probably be dozens of models in the box, but only two have been revealed: the vampire hunter Jelsen Darrock (probably one of the hero characters) and a Gravekeeper named Gorslav.

Finally, there’s a new box of Dark Angels Space Marines and a new Codex Supplement: Dark Angels to go with them, plus a heavier version of the classic Land Speeder to boot. These models and many more will be available for order on January 30th.
