Since launch, fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons regretted the omission of certain promotional items available at New sheet, but a new partnership between retailer Target and Nintendo aims to change that. Sanrio’s Hello Kitty is arriving at your island resort, as long as you buy the associated amiibo cards, of course.

The cards will be launched on March 26 and are exclusive to Target. No price points have been shared yet, but in the images we can identify a wide variety of new furniture items that are not currently in the game, such as character-themed beds and tables. Previously, you only got a few Sanrio posters through Harv’s island.
Perhaps more attractive, the cards also include entirely new villagers (for New Horizons, at least) – Rilla, Marty, Etoile, Chai, Chelsea and Toby, respectively. There is no other way to get these people, which may explain why complete sets of these cards for previous games are sold at exorbitant prices on eBay. In other words, expect these cards to sell out quickly, especially due to the popularity of New Horizons.
Cross between animals it is also scheduled to receive an update from Peacock dancing in January, and a patch with the Super Mario theme in March.
