In addition to sporadic participation in programs such as Will and grace, Joyand Robert Rodriguez From Dusk Till Dawn, Demi Lovato did not prioritize stardom on TV for a long, long time, focusing internally on her many other achievements, largely musical. According to TVLine, however, that could all change, now that the single-camera comedy Hungry received a pilot commitment placed on NBC.
Lovato will star and become executive producer Hungry, which features a group of “friends who belong to a group of food issues” who “help each other while looking for love, success and the perfect thing in the fridge that will make everything better”. The pilot will be written by Will and grace aluminum and Cleveland Hot creator Suzanne Martin.
Lovato was open about her own struggle with disordered eating. In December, the singer posted a commemorative photo session on Instagram in which she lined up her stretch marks with gold glitter. “I used to genuinely believe that recovering from an eating disorder was not real,” Lovato wrote in part. “I am very grateful to be able to say honestly for the first time in my life – my nutritionist looked at me and said, ‘This is what recovery from an eating disorder looks like.'”
