NEW YORK – The United States has exceeded the 25 million confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
The new milestone, reported on Sunday by Johns Hopkins University, is a bleak reminder of the wide reach of coronavirus in the United States, which has seen far more confirmed cases and deaths than any other country in the world.
The United States accounts for about one in four reported cases worldwide and one in five deaths. India recorded the second highest number of cases, with around 10.7 million.
