Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that a new way to reload will be arriving in the Apex Legends Season 8 update, as Gold Mags for weapons are being added.
The eighth season in the game’s history begins two days before the second anniversary of Battle Royale, and based on what we know so far, your next Legend Fuse is entering the fight with a bang.
The first trailer for the update showed a destroyed Kings Canyon, after Fuse’s arrival did not go as planned. Explosives were stored across the map and fired, meaning that major changes to the map are expected. If you are looking for a full map revealed for S8, in addition to the first patch notes, January 26th will be the date to watch.
However, the development team released another great detail promoting the live showcase of trailer two, mentioning new magazines that are in progress. Gold Mags, to be exact.
The 30-30 Repeater is aimed at Apex Legends.

As regular players may already know, these trailers are often a live page that the community can access before the promotional video airs. A countdown eventually begins and new content appears.
That said, this time we didn’t have to wait for the countdown to know what great things would be mentioned in the showcase. In the video description for YouTube, it says: “Fuse arrives in season 8, and he has a lot of attitude – and things that explode. Destroy the opposition with Salvo’s most popular weapon, the 30-30 Lever Repeater. Explore an obliterated Kings Canyon, remodeled by Fuse’s arrival.

So yes, it looks like Gold Mags will be one of the biggest features that will come to the Apex Games in season 8.
Will Gold Mags be dominated?
Immediately, players were concerned that this new item might be on the more powerful side. However, game designer Daniel Klein assured players that reloading will not be instantaneous.
“I think that some of you imagine that this is much faster than it is. There is a good delay before a holstered gun is reloaded, and if you find that the delay is not long enough, we can always increase it. ”The dev explained. “This should not be used to cheat on a refill; this should be to switch to another weapon, use it a little and then go back to the initial reloaded weapon.
The developer also explained that there is a quick pop-up on the screen and a “sound” when the improvised top-up is completed – so you will know when it is safe to return!
