Rob Gronkowski’s ‘super celebration’ after the NFC Championship game

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski appeared in a special Sunday edition of The Late Late Show with James Corden where he talked about his moderate celebration after defeating the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game earlier in the day, winning a trip to the Super Bowl. There is a video of Gronkowski dancing in the locker room after the game, but this is the craziest he can get.

“So, we already celebrated in the locker room and now I just ate my burrito,” said Gronkowski. “Let me tell you, that was my super celebration. I ate a burrito and ate as much as possible that I could have. “

Gronkowski made his first of five trips to the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots, winning three of them in 2012. He admitted that he was much more celebratory than he is now.

“The first Super Bowl I went to, I kind of celebrated a lot after the AFC championship game, when I still had one game left, you know, training and everything,” said Gronkowski. “I’m kind of there and I did it now, so I’ll save it for after the game. Hopefully, it goes our way. “

Gronkowski said the commemorative burrito will do for now, and that the real celebration will come if the Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl on February 7 in Tampa. This will be the first time in NFL history that a team has played in the Super Bowl at their stadium.

“I already said, I just had a burrito with cheese and sour cream, it was my celebration because I still have work to do. We still have work to do, ”said Gronkowski. “And then that’s when the big celebration comes in another two weeks.”

The Late Late Show with James Corden airs during the week at 12:35 pm CBS.
