I hope she didn’t have a hard time finding her belongings later.

A funny thing about “I’m Real”: R&B singer Ashanti had a possible role in creating the song. Ja Rule recently explained that Ashanti sang in an initial reference version of the track, and that some of his original vocals may have been mixed in the background of what turned out to be his and J.Lo’s hit. For her part, Ashanti said that she was “angry” with the record label executive Irv Gotti for giving the song to J.Lo, but that she was also “happy at the same time because it was J.Lo.
Even J.Lo herself knows how iconic the song is – which is why, in an Instagram post where she celebrated J.Lo20th birthday, she ended her caption with the hashtag “#MyLoveDontCostAThing.”
J.Lo specifically recreated the scenes on the beach, where she discards her belongings and most of her clothes. This time, she even threw her bracelet in the sand.

I hope she didn’t have a hard time finding him later.
And while she stopped close to replicating the ending of the original video in which she took off her shirt while waking up at sea, J.Lo ended her micro-update of the clip with a fake nod to the original ending.
J.Lo wants you to join the fun too. She also tweeted “I can’t wait to see your interpretations” of what she’s calling “#LoveDontCostAThingChallenge.”
#LoveDontCostAThingChallenge STARTS NOW !!!! I can’t wait to see your interpretations. â¨đâ¨

Uhh, I’m not sure if throwing my most expensive belongings in the sand right now is the best move for me, financially. You, however, J.Lo.
