It is very worthwhile to eat cookies.
A stone recently discovered in Brazil can cost more than $ 10,000 – because it bears an incredible resemblance to Cookie Monster from “Vila Sésamo”, according to reports.
Split and open, the volcanic rock is composed of blue quartz crystals with gaps that reflect the round white eyes and open smile of the iconic cookie-loving character.
Geologist Mike Bowers, who currently owns the unusual agate gemstone, told The Sun that he saw other similar rocks, but that “this is probably the most perfect Cookie Monster there is.”
“It is rare to find one so well defined,” he said.
Bowers posted a footage of the rock on his Facebook account this month – and said he has since received $ 10,000 for it from five different buyers.
“Prices can be very high,” he told the website.
Agate – a type of quartz found in ancient lava cavities – was recovered in Brazil’s Rio Grande do Sul region in November, Bowers said.
