Floyd Mayweather took aim at Conor McGregor and fights fans in general, after the Irishman’s technical knockout defeat at UFC 257.
McGregor (22-5 MMA, 10-3 UFC) was finished in the second round by Dustin Poirier in the main event of the UFC Fight Island, as the Irishman’s last appearance in the octagon ended in his third loss in his last six appearances in the UFC.
After the fight, Mayweather, who stopped McGregor in the 10th round in his very hot boxing match in 2017, jumped on his Instagram page to criticize his former opponent and criticize fans for supporting Dubliner and also hating him.
Mayweather shared a post that asked “Why is @floydmayweather hated for the way she behaves, but @thenotoriousmma is loved for the same way she behaves?” and responded with a long rant about Dubliner, which he dubbed “Con Artist McLoser”, while calling fans to racism because he didn’t feel as loved by fight fans as the former UFC champion in two divisions.
“I saw this post and my opinion is that the world knows that Con Artist McLoser can steal everything from me and be loved, but I am hated,” he complained. “It just lets everyone know that racism still exists. Just know, that tramp will never be me or be on my level. I have just been built differently, my mindset is on another planet, my skills are second to none, I am a born winner and yes, I talk a lot of rubbish, but every time I go back! This is what they hate.
“It’s sad that you can be a poor black boy from the ghetto who has dealt with racism all your life and work hard to put you and your family in a better position, and most of the hatred comes from my own people.
Mayweather then turned his attention to McGregor as he scoffed at the suggestion that the Irishman could face his former rival Manny Pacquiao inside the boxing ring later this year.
“Connor (sic) can’t even win in his own sport,” he said. “But talking about going back to boxing to fight Pacquiao. Nobody wants to see it, it’s like my leftovers are eating leftovers. “
