A quiet place, part II, late again

Along with the next 007 movie No time to die, the sci-fi horror sequel from Paramount Pictures A Quiet Place II was among the first box office hits to have its release date changed when the coronavirus pandemic grew rapidly in the United States in March 2020. After initially being pushed into September 2020, Paramount set the film for spring again in April 2021. But now that No time to die and several other spring / summer box office hits have been postponed until the end of this year, A peaceful place, part II is joining them.

Variety reported that Paramount Pictures had A peaceful place, part II late again, this time going to September 17, 2021. Many of the recent changes in release dates have caused studios to switch films for the fall, when the COVID-19 vaccine is expected to have returned us to some sense of safety and normalcy. Until then, we will be dealing with the coronavirus pandemic for a year and a half and we hope we haven’t missed many cinemas during that time.

With the September 2021 release date, A peaceful place, part II will be facing the star studded Murder on the Orient Express sequence Death on the Nile, the animated sequence The Boss Baby: Family Business, and the action comedy The Man From Toronto with Woody Harrelson and Kevin Hart.

A peaceful place, part II is run by John Krasinski and bring it back Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe like the Abbott family, as they continue to live in a post-apocalyptic world, where sound-sensitive aliens have forced humanity to hide. Although Krasinski’s character met his end in the first film, he will return in flashbacks in the sequel. Here is the official synopsis of A peaceful place, part II:

The Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they struggle for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize that creatures that hunt for sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sandy path.
