According to PlatinumGames 4, the developer and publisher will have a fifth ad in 2021. The company launched a promotional campaign highlighting four new ads in 2020. The latest provocation is an extension of that campaign.
We actually know about a fifth announcement since last year, but this is the first time that we have obtained a deadline for the disclosure. PlatinumGames updated its official homepage to change the 2020 reveal date list to “XX.XX.2021”. When visiting the website, the graph fails and lists “BONUS PHASE”, as shown below.
PlatinumGames 4 announcements took place in the first quarter of 2020. The company kicked off with The Wonderful 101 Remastered and its related Kickstarter campaign. The second reveal was director Hideki Kamiya’s new superhero game, GG Project The third announcement was a new studio based in the Tokyo area (PlatinumGames headquarters is located in Osaka). And the fourth was a Fool’s Day trailer that saw Platinum and Hamster unite in a project that would bring the Cresta Land series back in the spotlight. Unfortunately, it was all a joke.
