PS5, Xbox Series X sold out at Walmart after several replacements

Update: PS5, PS5 Digital and Xbox Series X sold out at Walmart after a series of refueling at 3, 3:10 and 3:20 PM ET. Much like what we saw in the past with Walmart, each refueling sold out instantly and we were never able to add the console to our cart. (Thanks, bots.)

This is just the last PS5 refueling this week – Target refueled the system yesterday, while GameStop, Best Buy and even Amazon refueled the PS5 briefly today. The Xbox Series X also appeared on GameStop and Best Buy. Walmart is the last major retailer to offer next-generation consoles this week and, without any official word from Sony or Microsoft recently, it is unclear when they will be back in stock.

The restocks on the PS5 and Xbox Series X are happening in full force today, although you still need to be fast if you want. If you were unlucky with GameStop or Best Buy today, then you will have another chance at 12pm PT / 3pm ET at Walmart. The traditional retailer is restocking the PS5 and Xbox Series X in less than an hour, so you’ll want to keep an eye on the site if you’re interested. Walmart will have the standard, all-digital versions of the PS5, as well as the Xbox Series X.

Be prepared for slow load times and possible site crashes. The last time Walmart announced a refueling of the PS5 and Xbox Series X ahead of time, it was difficult to even add the console to the cart and complete the purchase. For the best chance of stealing a PS5 or Xbox Series X, make sure you’re signed in to your Walmart account and that your payment and shipping information is up to date in advance.

Both PS5 and Xbox Series X have been replenished regularly, although they are still running out quickly. PS5 money changers have been a problem and are something retailers are working to tackle, and although Microsoft has said it is working hard to get more Xbox consoles available, it is unclear when inventory will be most available in stores.
