A Michigan marijuana dispensary is offering a free joint to anyone who receives the Covid-19 vaccine

To help contain the coronavius pandemic, Greenhouse of Walled Lake is offering free pre-laminated joints to anyone who receives the Covid-19 vaccine.

“We are all stressed, but hopefully the vaccine is what will finally end this pandemic, and we just want to reward people who are advancing the curve to get the vaccine,” Greenhouse owner Jerry Millen told CNN. “If I can help stop the pandemic in any way, and this is the way I can do it, so be it.”

The “Pot for Shots” promotion is a joint effort with the UBaked Cannabis Company, which provides pre-rolls. It started on Friday and runs until February.

To get free marijuana, just get vaccinated and go to the dispensary with proof of vaccination.

Millen said he is considering extending the deadline if there are no people vaccinated by the end of February to encourage others to take this step so that the world “can get back to normal”.

“We support freedom of choice, everyone chooses what to do, but it is important that people take steps to prevent the pandemic by staying at home and wearing a mask, or getting a vaccine, if they so choose,” said Millen. “This is our way of thanking the people who do it.”

Although it takes longer before enough Americans are vaccinated to end the pandemic, Millen says he is sure the grass is greener on the other side.
