The PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions of strategy RPG and hybrid visual novel Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and sequel Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth were removed from PlayStation Store in Western territories.
An Atlus representative, who published both titles in the west, confirmed to Gematsu that the titles were withdrawn because Atlus’ licensing rights have expired. Atlus had no information on whether the games would return to the digital showcase.
Gematsu contacted the developer Aquaplus and also the publisher of PC versions DMM Games for more information. However, it is currently a weekend in Japan and we probably will not have an answer until Monday, at the very least.
