The county also confirmed that the new COVID vaccine website is now active and functional. Many viewers reported problems with the site crashing earlier this week.

The new vaccine registration site is www.rivcoph.org/COVID-19-Vaccine.

Residents aged 65 and over who need help signing up for an appointment can call 2-1-1.

NOTE TO COUNTY VETERANS

Brooke Federico, a county spokesman, said during a news conference that other attendants would be available. She added that 211 attendants CAN make appointments for residents. They have the same access as someone on the computer. The county is trying to find ways to be more efficient.

County leaders apologized for the problems residents had when trying to apply for the vaccine. You can attend a live briefing with Coachella Valley leaders to discuss the current state of emergency operations

The new services will be made available to clinics that open next week in Indio, Beaumont, Corona and Menifee. A clinic at Corona High School will be available only to residents aged 65 and over.

Appointments available on Saturday, January 23 at noon.

In Riverside County, people 65 and older can receive their coronavirus vaccine, along with adults of all ages if they work in education, law enforcement, food and agriculture and emergency services.
