Rapper Soulja Boy hit, sexual abuse assistant

A woman who worked as a personal assistant to rapper Soulja Boy claims in an open lawsuit on Thursday that the artist sexually abused her, beat her and held her hostage.

The woman said she started working for Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way in California in late 2018.

The suit, which opened in Los Angeles and identifies the assistant only as Jane Doe, says the abuse started when Way sent the woman an unsolicited photo of his penis shortly after she started working for him.

The pair ended up having a consensual relationship, but in January 2019, Way began to physically abuse the woman, the lawsuit said.

And in February, Way sexually assaulted the woman for the first time, the lawsuit said, adding that he “expressed remorse” later and gave her $ 1,000. Later, “on several occasions, and sometimes twice on the same day, Defendant Way inappropriately touched the Plaintiff’s body, ripped her pants off and raped her,” the suit said.

Way was often jealous when the woman received comments on Instagram or a phone call and responded by throwing her on the floor and kicking her in the rib or punching her, the lawsuit claimed.

“Throughout this abusive relationship, Defendant Way punched the Claimant directly in the head on at least ten different occasions,” said the suit.

Once, Way followed an attack saying, “I should have killed you,” according to the lawsuit. After verbal attacks, he used to say, “That’s not what I meant,” added the suit.

He also locked the woman in a room without hot water for three days after she tried to give up and leave, according to the lawsuit.

In August last year, “Way attacked the Claimant so hard that she thought she was going to die” and when she regained consciousness outside her home, she ran.

When she returned to pick up her belongings a month later, “Way refused to return her belongings to the Plaintiff and instead used the opportunity to rape the Plaintiff again,” the suit alleges.

The lawsuit said the woman was left with nothing because she did not receive the promised salary while working for Way for 18 months. She claims she did not receive the $ 500 a week promised to her by Way for her duties, which included cleaning, cooking, driving the musician and taking care of travel itineraries.

“Way’s treatment of our client, as an employee and as a person who deserves respect, traumatized and filled her with fear,” said her lawyer, Neama Rahmani, in a statement. “Her abuse imprisoned her physically, mentally and emotionally. When she mustered the courage to flee, he impoverished her. Their exploitation seriously impaired our client’s ability to recover in the workplace and in society. We believe that he should be held accountable. “

Way has already served time in 2019 for violating parole on gun charges.

Last year, an ex-girlfriend sued Way alleging assault, assault and private imprisonment. The case is pending.

Soulja Boy reached fame in 2007 when his debut single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Way representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Friday, but a spokesman told TMZ: “Soulja would never lay hands on a woman. He would not hit a woman or lay hands on a woman. .this is not -sense !!! “
