It’s dit’s all over again. No time to die it was one of the first box office hits to be delayed in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many thought the situation would be better now, including MGM, which initially postponed the film to November 2020, only to delay it again to April 2021. Now, the James Bond sequel has received a release date in the fall again, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc in the United States and in many parts of the world.

James Bond’s official account reported No time to die delayed again with a poster and new release date:

No time to die will now debut in theaters in October 8, 2021. It is the first major film to empty the spring 2021 release window this year (Ghostbusters: life after death had an early jump last year), and it probably won’t be the last. At the beginning of the pandemic, No time to die Moving to the end of 2020 is what prompted the studios to start moving their spring and early summer releases to the end of the year, and some have even been postponed to 2021. It looks like we will see that set of musical chairs happen again.

Other films that have the potential to be delayed include A Quiet Place II, another film originally scheduled for April 2020, currently scheduled for April 23, 2021. Black Widow is also scheduled to launch on May 7, 2021, Free face a few weeks later, on May 21, and F9 (Fast and furious 9) a week later, on May 28. All of these films, and perhaps more in June and July, may end up being postponed at the end of the year again.

Today, the U.S. government’s leading infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, appeared at a news conference and said:

“If from April, May, June, July and August, we do the type of vaccine implementation that I’m talking about – at least a million people a day and maybe more – when we finish summer and fall, we will have achieved the level of immunity of the herd that I think will take us back to some form of normality, and maybe even normal. “

This is the best scenario, so we are not out of it yet. Stay tuned for more inevitable release date changes soon.
