Stars who received the COVID-19 vaccine

The launch of the coronavirus vaccine has already begun.

Although it is not yet available to anyone, there are several plans in different countries to ensure that citizens – particularly those most at risk of health complications – receive the vaccine safely.

Among those who received the vaccine are some stars. Here’s a look at the public figures – from movie stars to British royalty – who have successfully started their vaccination process.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

The Terminator actor and former California governor announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he received the vaccine.

“Today was a good day. I was never so happy to wait in line,” Schwarzenegger wrote next to a video about himself getting an injection. “If you are eligible, join me and apply to receive your vaccine.”

In reference to a famous phrase from “The Terminator”, he added: “Come with me if you want to live!”

The 73-year-old actor said in a follow-up tweet that Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti registered him at Dodgers Stadium, which he called “a crazy surprise. “

Steve Martin

The legendary 75-year-old comic revealed on Twitter over the weekend that he too was vaccinated, in part because of his age.

“Good news / bad news. Good news: I just got vaccinated! Bad news: I got it because I’m 75 years old. Ha!” he said on Sunday. “The operation in New York was silky smooth (sorry for the @BCDreyer cliché!) And perfectly hosted by the US Army and the National Guard. Thank you all and thank you science.”

When a fan asked Martin how he signed up, the “Planes, trains and automobiles” star said he signed up online.

“I signed up ON line through a New York dot gov website (sorry, I don’t have the exact website) and waited in line at the Javits Center”, he recalled and joked that he was not having “fide ressects”.

Willie Nelson

The 87-year-old country star’s vaccination was announced on Facebook by Family Hospital Systems last week.

They shared a photo of Nelson giving a thumbs up while wearing a face mask.

“Getting the COVID vaccine is cool Willie!” the organization joked in the caption. “Thank you Willie Nelson for helping Family Hospital Systems to slow the spread of COVID-19.”

Loretta Lynn

Another country music industry icon, Lynn, 88, announced on Instagram that she also had her chance.

The singer of “Filha do Mineiro de Carvão” shared two photos: one of her smiling and another close-up of a sticker saying “I have my vaccine COVID-19!”

“Well, I wrapped up and Peggy Jean and I left Hurricane Mills so I could get the vaccine,” she said in the caption. “I am very happy to get it and ready to put Covid in the rear view mirror! And I enjoyed the mother-daughter time too!”

A similar message arrived on Twitter on Monday, with the photo of the sticker.

“I made it,” Lynn captioned the photo. “You can also!”

Dench, 86, announced his vaccination last week.

“I have [had the coronavirus vaccine]. I had one a week ago, so I think my next one is something like 11 weeks, which is a great start! “She told the BBC, according to the Daily Mail.

She also said that she felt “joy” and “relief” for having received the vaccine, as she can now start where she left off with regard to performance.

Tony Bennett

At 94, it is logical that the classic crooner would receive a dose of the vaccine right at the beginning of the launch.

Bennett accessed Twitter on January 13 to share that he received an injection.

“I received the first dose of Covid 19 vaccination this week and I am fine and I encourage you to do the same!” he said next to a picture of you smiling.

On January 11, the household goods magnate, 79, shared a video of her preparing to receive the vaccine.

“I was vaccinated today in a designated vaccine capsule near the Martha Stewart Center for Living in Mount Sinai Downtown. I am very proud and grateful to the doctors, nurses and medical staff who are struggling with the bureaucracy and confusion of distributing these very important vaccines” , captioned the post, in part.

The star said she was “excited to have received” the vaccine and said that Mount Sinai had received 10,000 candidates for administration.

“This is the advance of science and a sincere thanks to those who work with vaccines. We all hope for the end of this pandemic ”, he concluded. “To allay your concerns about skipping the line, know that I am in the approved age group for this batch of vaccines and have waited in line with others.”

Joan Collins

The 87-year-old “Dynasty” icon said he was “delighted” to have received his first dosage earlier this month on Instagram alongside a picture of him with a medical professional administering the injection.

She after I spoke to Good Morning Britain about the procedure.

“I really want to tell anyone who is concerned about this: there is nothing to worry about,” she insisted. “It was the easiest thing, it was like a little scratch and there was no pain at all. I had no side effects and I felt absolutely good.

In fact, Collins said she “went home and I even drank”.

England’s highest royalty also managed to obtain vaccines.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman confirmed in a statement on January 9 that Elizabeth, 94, and Philip, 99, had also been shot.

“The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh received the Covid-19 vaccines today,” says the announcement.

A royal source confirmed that the vaccines were administered “by a home doctor at Windsor Castle”, where the royal couple has been living amid the global health crisis.

More members of royalty also managed to get treatment.

Danish monarch Queen Margrethe II received her vaccination not long after implantation began.

“Her Majesty, the Queen, was vaccinated against COVID-19 today,” announced the Amalienborg Palace on its website on New Year’s Day.

“The Queen will receive a follow-up vaccination in approximately three weeks,” the statement said.

Ian McKellen

The famous 81-year-old “Lord of the Rings” star also received her vaccination earlier this month.

“I really hope that, as more people get vaccinated, we will move on the way back to a more normal lifestyle,” he said, by a tweet from NHS England and NHS Improvement.

The message contained images of McKellen with his sleeve rolled up talking to a medical professional and giving a thumbs up.

“It is a very special day, I am euphoric. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I am very lucky to have received the vaccine ”, read another NHS tweet citing McKellen.
