Alabama has added more than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases since yesterday.
The 10-hour numbers from the Alabama Department of Public Health on January 20 show that the state recorded 429,655 cases of coronavirus, an increase of 3,132 over the previous day. The state added 157 deaths, totaling 6,283.
ADPH said it is conducting a review of past deaths and the numbers may reflect cases that date from weeks or months.
There are currently 2,724 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Alabama.
