Four days from the end of the AFC Championship, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes remains on track to play.
Via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Mahomes will have “very light practice ”on Wednesday, during the concussion protocol. It can be listed as limited in practice or as not practicing at all.
Rapoport adds that Mahomes “has no symptoms”, three days after being placed in the protocol.
The other issue is the toe problem, which clearly affected Mahomes before he left Cleveland in the third quarter of the division round.
Given the concussion and toe injury, it is fair to wonder if the Chiefs will stop Mahomes’ race on Sunday. It is also fair to know if Mahomes will think twice before going out with the ball.
