Snoop Dogg praises Trump for committing the sentence of Death Row Record co-founder Michael ‘Harry O’ Harris

Snoop Dogg is a happy guy and he has to thank President Trump for that.

The 49-year-old hip-hop icon praised Trump during his final hours at the White House for committing the sentence of Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry O” Harris, who served 30 years of a 25-year life sentence for conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree.

Trump issued 73 pardons and commuted 70 sentences on Wednesday morning as he prepared to step down. Harris learned on Tuesday that he was among those who will be released early from prison.

“I love what he did,” said Snoop Dogg – whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. – about Trump’s decision, according to the New York Post.

Harris, 59, showed “an exemplary record of imprisonment for three decades,” said a statement released by the White House. Harris is also said to have advised other prisoners on how to become an entrepreneur, as well as completed a business administration and journalism course.

Snoop Dogg continued to applaud Trump and his team for their “great work” ahead of the opening ceremony for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Wednesday.

“They did a great job while they were there and did a great job on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did,” said the “Gin and Juice” rapper. “It’s amazing what the work of God can really bring to life to make people understand that God exists.”

SNOOP DOGG REVEALS ITS VOTING PLANS FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS NOVEMBER

The artist made these comments during a Zoom meeting with prison reform advocates Alice Marie Johnson and Weldon Angelos, the Post said. A rapper representative did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment.

Johnson, who wrote a book in May 2019, is known to have been launched by Trump in 2019 with the help of reality star who became a prison defender Kim Kardashian. She had been in prison for more than 20 years, serving a life sentence on non-violent drug charges. His release was filmed for an episode of “Keeping up with the Kardashians”.

According to the Post, Angelos – who received Trump’s full forgiveness in December – believes Ivanka Trump played an important role in Harris’ forgiveness. “The credit goes to Ivanka Trump because Ivanka Trump did not take no for an answer,” he said on Zoom’s conference call.

Angelos also called it “a big win for hip hop”.

Snoop Dogg’s recent comments are a reversal of the critical statements he made about Trump just months before the 2020 presidential election.

“Donald Trump is a f – king freak,” he reportedly said in June in a video on Twitter . “If you voted for him, I have no problem with that. But if you’re still with him, go fuck yourself.”

Also in 2020, Snoop Dogg revealed that he plans to vote for the first time in the next presidential election.

Recipients of Trump’s forgiveness included former White House adviser Steve Bannon and rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.
