Lancaster County is currently administering vaccines for people in Phase 1A, which includes healthcare professionals (hospitals, home health care, pharmacies, EMS, outpatient, public health) and residents and employees of long-term care facilities.
Lopez said the county needs about 6,000 additional doses to move to Phase 1B, which opens vaccinations for people 65 and older, people 18 and older with certain high-risk medical conditions, first aid and the industry. of Education. Another 3,900 doses are expected to arrive in the next week. Lopez said that if the county received 6,000 full doses, they could finish Phase 1A by the end of next week.
