LAKELAND, Florida – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Continuing the collaboration between Publix, the state of Florida and Governor Ron DeSantis, the state is providing 70,000 additional doses of the Modern COVID-19 vaccine to selected Publix pharmacies. At the same time, the number of Pharmacy Publix locations that administer vaccines is increasing from 105 to 242.

Eligibility
According to state guidelines, vaccines are being provided to individuals aged 65 and over.

Vaccines are only provided by appointment, while supplies last, through the online reservation system at publix.com/covidvaccine. The system will be open in two days for scheduling times as follows:

Publix Pharmacy will administer the vaccine in the following counties: Bay, Brevard, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Escambia, Flagler, Hernando, Lee, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Okaloosa, Palm Beach, St. Johns, Santa Rosa, Volusia and Walton, while stocks last. Customers can also use the online booking system to find out if appointments are available at a nearby Publix. It is not possible to make appointments by calling Publix or Publix Pharmacy.
Costs and insurance
Vaccines are provided to eligible individuals, by appointment only, while supplies last, and at no cost to the individual. Health insurance customers will need to bring their insurance card for their scheduled appointment. Medicare members must bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card. Customers without health insurance will need to provide their driver’s license or Social Security number.
Publix pharmacies are also offering COVID-19 vaccines to eligible individuals in selected locations in Georgia and South Carolina. The company continues to communicate with states in its area of activity to provide COVID-19 vaccines as part of its distribution efforts. .
