In Saturday’s loss to Tigers, South Carolina’s Keyshawn Bryant scored 26 points with seven rebounds and two assists to lead the team. AJ Lawson added 22 points with five rebounds and five assists, and Justin Minaya doubled with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
On the Missouri side, the year began with six consecutive wins over Oral Roberts, Oregon, Wichita State, Liberty, Illinois and Bradley. Since then, the Tigers have had a 2-2 run, with defeats to Tennessee and Mississippi State alongside wins over Arkansas and Texas A&M.
In Saturday’s 68-52 victory over the Aggies, Missouri’s Dru Smith led the team with 15 points, six rebounds and six assists. Jeremiah Tilmon doubled with 14 points with 10 rebounds and an assist, and Javon Pickett had 12 points, two rebounds and two assists for the Tigers.
The Tigers are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games on Tuesday and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games after an ATS victory. Missouri is 2-5 ATS in its last seven home games against a team with a losing history and the over is 5-2 in its last seven games on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Gamecocks are 11-5 ATS in the last 16 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five as underdogs. The balance is 6-1 in the last seven games in South Carolina and 10-2 in the last 12 games in total.
TO CHOOSE: I’m staying with Missouri. The Gamecocks achieved three good offensive performances in their last trio of matches, scoring 78 or more points in each. South Carolina has also given up 71 or more in three of its last four games. It is good news for Missouri, which has a good defense and can score very well when the match is right. I think the Gamecocks will stick around initially, with Missouri moving away in the second half.
