The Magic Kingdom has been doing several rides since the park reopened in July. Some rides include Mickey, Minnie and Pluto, while others feature Goofy, Max and Clarabelle. And, a private float features the only Tinker Bell from Peter Pan!

Well, unfortunately, this afternoon at the Magic Kingdom, Tink’s float, which is a giant treasure chest, went through some technical difficulties and she had to evacuate halfway. In this first video sent to Inside the Magic, you can see Tinker Bell waiting for the ladder to be mounted so that she can safely land from her float.

In this second video, also uploaded to Inside the Magic, you can see Tink as she carefully and safely descends the stairs to the street with the help of cast members.

After Tink was safely on the ground, she made the best of the situation. Although her float broke down, that did not stop her from continuing to parade down the street, waving and smiling at the Visitors!

We are very happy to see that Tinker Bell is doing well and made the most of the situation! Normally, you can capture this fairy in the Magic Kingdom on your pop-up treasure chest themed ride, which appears randomly throughout the day.

This is not the first incident that has occurred since the debut of the new rides in the Magic Kingdom. During the Magic Kingdom reopening day, Mérida’s horse, which Merida rides during the Disney Princess ride that runs periodically throughout the day, was startled by a balloon and had to be escorted off Main Street USA. You can read more about this incident here.

In addition, in September, Goofy’s ride came to an unexpected stop on the Sleepy Hollow bridge, between Liberty Square and Main Street USA, which was when Goofy lost his balance. After a few seconds, visitors could see Goofy waving to say goodbye as he was lowered to the float. You can read more about this incident here.

Remember that if you plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort, many protocols have been implemented to keep visitors and cast members safe. This includes measures of social distance, excessive cleaning, incentive to mobile orders, acrylic, the elimination of meetings and greetings of characters, parades and fireworks and much more.
