After a month, Cyberpunk 2077 has 50% off the console, 33% off the PC

The good version of Cyberpunk 2077 is now more expensive than the bad versions, so everything is as it should be, right? After a waterfall launch failed, the game got a notable discount just a week after launch. Now, a month later, these discounts have become even more substantial, especially on the console.

You can now get the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One Cyberpunk 2077 version for $ 29.99 from a variety of retailers, a total discount of 50% off the original retail price. The sale appears to have originated as a daily deal at Best Buy, but since then the price has been matched by other retailers, including Amazon.

The retail PC version, which is basically a GOG code plus some classic physical treats, also has a 33% discount on Amazon, lowering the price to $ 39.99. These are, of course, prices in the US only, and while the game is discounted on Amazon UK, the savings are much less substantial.

Games are extremely quickly discounted today, regardless of quality, and you shouldn’t always consider ‘days for sale’ as a measure of the quality of any title. However, it seems quite clear that the console versions of Cyberpunk, at least, are in low demand right now.

The confusing launch of Cyberpunk 2077 is back on the news after the holiday, as developers have announced that the free DLC will be delayed until major patches are in place, a new report alleged mismanagement, crisis, a “false” demonstration of E3, and more, and CD Projekt responded to a second class investor lawsuit.
